As an activator you can make contacts via repeater, Echolink, satellite or direct frequencies with other HAM radio
stations using portable HAM radio equipment. For direct QSOs activators and chasers earn two points.
All other qso count for 1 point. Every activated or worked summit counts as a multiplier.
Activators can earn points with the same station only once per day (0000-2400 UTC).
The acivated summit counts as a multiplier only once.
Chasers can work every day (0000 - 2400 UTC) the same activator on the same summit again.

There are three TVOTA Awards available, Bronze, Silver and Gold. You need a minimum of points and unique summits to qualify.
For example, the activator bronze award needs 40 points and a minimum of 10 unique activated summits .
The bronze chaser award needs 25 points (see rule 7 of the TVOTA rules).
